Michael led development of the Systems Optimisation Process and the supporting engineering, whole-life cost benefit analysis and business case modelling and optimisation tools. Michael is specialised in its application within the transport industry and also has experience working with the Oil and Gas industry.
Michael is currently leading projects to optimise major infrastructure upgrade projects for London Underground. Through application of the Systems Optimisation Process Michael has successfully reduced London Underground’s Capital expenditure, whilst improving customer benefits and revenue.
Michael also has extensive experience in engineering train simulation, signalling performance evaluation, econometrics and finance, and the specification and project management of technical studies.
