Andrew Duncan, Head of Asset and Risk Management
Andrew has 20 years engineering management experience across a broad spectrum of industries including Rail, Telecommunications, Defence and Energy. He gained his MBA specialising in decision making, modelling and risk while developing innovative cost reduction strategies for telecoms infrastructure ownership.
Andrew advises on the application of asset management models and leads the conceptual and detailed design of tools that incorporate engineering heuristics, fiscal environments, contractual obligations and risk. His experience includes leading teams to:
- Develop and operate models which forecast contract pricing risks
- DevelopĀ whole life asset management models to optimise intervention strategies for a range of long life assets
- Design and implement a suite of simulation tools to optimise work-bank activity and asset replacement strategies against contract key performance indicators
A consistent thread of the models is that they are transparent and inclusive, giving stakeholders a trusted common platform in which they can communicate and challenge the status quo.
