Systems Optimisation Model
Whole life cost-benefit analysis model, to optimise the whole life investment and asset management of train systems and station systems. It produces business cases, generates cashflows, and performs statistical and risk analysis. Cogitare

Integrated model with the Systems Optimisation Model, to optimise the energy consumption and the run-times for alternative metro and railway upgrade solutions. It produces the whole-life energy, power infrastructure, and tunnel cooling cost, and the journey time benefits to customers. Cogitare

Energy Consumption & Power Demand model
Model to forecast the annual energy consumption and required substation upgrades for alternative line upgrade solutions, using the output from single or multi-train simulation. Cogitare

TRAIN, Multi-Train Simulator software package (www.mottmac.com)
Software package developed and supported by Mott MacDonald, to perform multi-train simulation studies to determine the performance of a metro or railway, the energy consumption, and the required power infrastructure upgrades. Mott MacDonald

Failure rate statistical toolkit
Translates equipment failure rates into a likely range of costs and performance impacts. It also provides a statistical toolkit to explain the relevance of the outputs to aid making informed decisions. Cogitare

Availability model
Whole Life Asset Management tool capable of forecasting the costs or benefits of infrastructure and maintenance decisions, investment decisions, and the impact of different incentivisation regimes. It maintains its accuracy by monitoring real data, and risk is modelled through integrated Monte Carlo and other statistical tools, facilitating basic to expert level analysis. Cogitare
