Capability Performance Improvements

Cogitare have improved Tube Lines performance bonuses by over £5m per year compared to projections and simultaneously improved passenger benefits by over £20m a year. How?

Cogitare identified where performance of the existing infrastructure could be improved through low cost improvements and enhanced utilisation of existing assets. Performance improvements include:

• More trains available for service thanks to improved maintenance strategies
• Improved operating speeds
• Improved station stop times by improving door operation and maintenance.

To identify and implement these projects Cogitare:

• Identified feasible options through know-how and stakeholder consultation.
• Modelled the financial impacts of options on costs and revenues, including train simulation
• Prioritised options according to profitability and implementation feasibility
• Consulted extensively with stake-holders to enable buy-in
• Enabled project implementation. We obtained funding approval and developed the projects to the point at which internal departments were happy to implement.
• Where no internal resources were available we also project managed implementation works.
